xD .

I laughed so much when i heard your voice acting. Great job on this start off for your frame by frame style. I like the sound effects and the music was good. Keep experimenting with little things like this and youll get better and better. And the guy below doesnt know what he was talking about, you didnt use any tweens in this because you dont even know what tweens are hahah. If I were you i would add as much color as possible to your future flashes. I can do some voices for yah as well and help you with any writing, but Tommy is your writer isnt he?

For shooting, you chould have included multiple lazers isntead of just one or two for a better action effect. nice explosion animation, it wasnt too sketchy. And i am not sure how you got this up to 2.9MB... you probably had the sound in a weird format or something, happens all the time.

Keep it up!

Croberson responds:

Tommy isn't exactly my "official" writer, but if he writes, I'll animate for him. Lol, I really don't know how to use tweens...they are too young anyway...

THERE YAH GO!

See there? One of your first animations and your featured on the front page in Tom Fulps newspost. Good job christian, you got some great compliments by two great NG animators in these reviews. I love your frame by frame style and loved the winners dont use drugs hahah.

If you want to compress your movie, here are some useful tips.

__Compression Tips__

1.) Make the audio export quality about 30KBS. This dramatically decreases your file size.

2.) In publish settings, check mark the COMPRESS MOVIE option.

3.) Limit yourself on layers. Dont create a layer for every single movie clip, I usually only user about 3 layers for every movie I have!

4.) If your music doesnt need to be on time with the movie, but just as an ambience then stream it from an outside source. All you do is put some coding in a frame that plays the music from another website, into your swf. It only is 1KB. :) Ill give you the code if you want it.

__Things you can do to improve your movie easy and fast__

FILTERS. Add glowing effects, bevel, gradients, e.t.c to some parts of the movie and you can get some kickass effects that are easy to do. Remember i showed you that red glow effect in school? That took like 3 minutes.

BACKGROUND. Never use a white background unless you really need to. I usually use a nice black background with bright colors ontop. It looks really nice, especially for the frame by frame style you use.

MUSIC. That music kind of sucked hahaha. Choose some really nice ambient music from the NG audio portal. You have so far, but next time choose something you think the majority of the public will enjoy.

COCKS. Put cocks everywhere. Instant front page. :)

Good luck! PM me if you need any help or something.

Croberson responds:

Hey, thanks man(although I'm not so sure on the cocks idea). THE ADVICE IS HELPFUL. Oh yeah, I'd like that streaming code

Wow... like... bloody brilliant wow.

This is obviously the EXACT idea of what the clock crew is like. It is meant to make fun... of simply life and animation. It is so fucking hard to explain until YOU SEE THIS FLASH. You think it is going to be amazing and spectacular, a drama of amazing artistic talent and wonderful plot. And then it turns out to be just plain crap. I couldnt tell you how hard I laughed when she said "My hands are cold" That was just GENIUS. PURE BLOODY GENIUS. This is amazingly overrated and I wish you would of won this competition.

I didnt even know what to think when everything started to be drawn crappily. I was like WTFFFFFFff!!!! At first, it made me angry. then all of a sudden I actually started getting into the whole plot. THEN I realized it was a joke. THHEENN I started cracking up because of the way the music set the mood. And then I fell out of my chair laughing hysterically when the ending came. Just... FUCKING HILARIOUS.

You have my hat off to you my friend. This is great. FAVED, FIVED, AND TENED.

My... my... my hands are cold...

ClockRadio responds:

Nah, winning is for people who deserve it.

EPIC

This is a review for an epic movie.

Fro responds:

Epic

Kind of dull really.

I thought the whole idea just wasnt a good idea. The graphics were bloody brilliant and the transitioning effects were very enjoyable. What made me sad was that there was obviously a WHOLE lot of work put into this including the ending song... it almost seems as if all that was just a waste though because it just isnt very fun to watch. The humor is kind of boring. I am sure there are many people who would enjoy this type of humor and I wish you the best of luck... but seriously make shorter toons! Dont put a whole lot of work into one feature toon when it is a FLASH MOVIE. Not very many people will see it anyway.

Voices 8/10

The voices were all alike... but they were done very well. All the characters were very strange and kooky and it was like an acid trip with cubes. A little bit weird for my taste, but the acting was great for what it was trying to be. Good job on the quality voices.

Animation 10/10

I thuroughly enjoyed each transitioning effect and the way every scene was set up. Like on a cube was the main idea right? You even had some shadowing effects in there. I did notice a lot of low quality lines used for the faces, however, because you zoomed in on the lines they looked a bit poor. I have no real complaints except for that. You guys have real animating quality and talent. Keep it up in future cartoons!

Plot 2/10

Ugh, this was the main fault. I hated the plot. It was so boring and really made no sense. Ok so he wanted to join the circus.. and his boss supported him and.. ok now im lost. I think you should have made it a bit more clear on WTF was going on. I enjoyed the main idea of cuboy, however and liked some of the gags like the spider down the throat, the two in the bathtub, and the policeman.

Good luck with your future cartoons.

EdibleCastle responds:

thanks for the review. I agree the story wasn't really tight enough. It's something we're still trying to get right. Although it did make sense (if you listen to the dialogue) it just isn't simple/efficient enough.

One thing you seem to overlook is that we're not just making 'flashes'. We're making cartoons and although of course the majority of our audience is on newgrounds, we don't plan our cartoons with it solely in mind.

If you want shorter cartoons try out our edible castle series, but I doubt you'd like the humor in those either.

Cheers,
-Will

WOW

Why isnt this front paged? Each and every frame was amazing! I loved the music as well, it went perfectley with the animation. Seriously, you have some real uneard talent here. Keep it up and im sure you will go far.

StressBunnyInc responds:

wow thanks for the kind words :D

That kid was hilarious

LOL WHAT?! What the hell was that land monster thing? That was just great man! xD

Ok there are a few things you need to improve on if you want to get noticed.

1.) Tidy up things a bit. I always see a blue line every now and then marking the edge of the place you draw. Make sure every line not connected to the charecter is erased and that every movement is somewhat clean and smooth.

2.) Make the pre-loader look more profesional. That turns people off because it makes it look like spam. Just make it a normal pre-loader with a black background if you dont want to get fancy!

I hope you follow these two easy steps to making your cartoons front page material.. they are hilarious.

golfinho responds:

very thanks!

Dude this flash was freaking brilliant. It was so odd it was funny. Yoiu rock man, seriously. Keep up your hard work and try writing different plots that everyone will understand.

IAmNinechecker responds:

Ta, duck. But most people usually do plots that mere mortals can follow. Life is sometimes unpredictable and I am only a conduit for its formidable power!

B.

I Love You

It is funny because its just classic humor from the good old days of playing pokemon. This reminds me of when i was 9 asking my grandpa if I could have some pkemawnz from walmart. I loved that game.

I thought it was hilarious when you had peter flick off everybody lolol xD Even though this humor is cheap and immature, it certainly made me laugh. I think it was very entertaining, and fro a 14 year old this movie is a good movie.

The nimation was alright, some bugs here and there but you know what? I thknk you purposley put those in there to reperesent that gameboy like enviroment.

So all in all... great job. You worked hard on it!

OrangePylon responds:

Right... those flickers were on purpose... Heh... <.<

He's immature because I am. :P I never really thought of it, but Peter resembles a mute me... except I don't look like that.

Thanks for the review + your great voicework and support! <3

LOL

Ok this just made my day.. I love you KevnSevn xD

Kevin responds:

Oh, hello there. I guess you want to know who I am. I mainly create ambient music and voice act here on NG. Occasionally youll see me produce some silly animation or game. If you want to chat or something, send me a spanky danky PM. *Sig by Magical-Zorse*
