[The Lonely Music Box]

OOhh...

It sounded like a luluby or something! Really cool. I think it was a little bit to simple, since it was just a music box. I thnk your other submission into the Mac 08 july contest has a better chance than this one, just to say.

Yes, it is just a music box...but I entered this piece for a reason. I wrote this song while I was crying, while my heart had been splintered into pieces.

Though sweetly disguised by its calm nature, this simplicity was just a mask for the sorrow I had felt. The ringing echoes you hear deeply in the background, that is my past and my pain lingering beneath the surface.

Simple? Maybe. But let me ask you something, must music be so complex to express one's emotions? This song represents much more than a simple music box, my friend. ;)

SWEET.

I liked this! A LOT! The awing mad it a very nice song, along with the mastered harp noises and very professional echoes. A great song for the MAC 08 contest. Good luck. :)

It was alright.

The sound needed to be turned up. I liked it when the other sounds came in. Sounded kind of epic like for a RPG or soemething. I didnt feel any emotions from it though! I am judging all the Mac 08 songs by if they sound sad or not. This one sounded a little sad, but more epic than anything.

Very nice and trancy.

I liked the nice beat and everything. But it wasnt very sad, which is what the MAC 08 July thing is going for right? It kind of brought up my spirits a little bit opn life actually. Lol, the one to win will make someone cry im guessing. Oh well, neverless, a good decent ambient song with a nice beat and background synth.

HMM background music...

Never thought of it like that before! I'll review this song with that in mind... I could see this in a game where some guy is walking throughout some cave or something collecting diamonds. The game would have very nice graphics. NOt only does this song sound good as background music, it would alsosound ok for a good listen. Well I am giving it a solid 4.

Nice name.

I liked the echoing synth pad you used. It was very simple and calming, i like that. But the background noises you choose werent all that great. They sounded ALRIGHT, bu kind of interupted the whole song because they went on for too long without and major build up.

But I remember you! So I decided to write a review on one of your songs.. This is really a song that builds up from the beginning. But it is to slow of a build up. I liked the sounds and all, especially what became of the flute sounds. I think you should of toned the background down a bit near the end. It sounded like annoying white noise after a while. Oh well, live and learn right? :)

Sorry, I just didnt like this song. Simple as that.

Had to turn the speakers up.

But still, a very nice song. You use a variety of simple yet heart warming pads that fill one up with emotion and wonder. I like the tunes you use in there as well! 13 ywar olds will fall head over heals for this sort of stuff (Cause they search for epic music like this from my experience)

You and I are very closely related when it comes to making ambience music. We NEED to have a collab together. What do you say?

NOTE: You are new at this right? Well make sure to ignore all those who put you down because they only look at weither it is a hard piece to make or not. They dont care if it sounds good. This piece was 'easy' to make because it is just playing long notes over and over again. But what they dont have the mindset for is the complexity of the meaning of the song. The choords, the overwhelming echoes and background white noise. And even the surreal experience of it putting you to sleep. Those criticts dont have the imagination and maturity to even comprhend such things. So just ignore them.

I don't care what other people say for bad things about my songs

I like my songs

I could hear them hours long ^^

otherwise I couldn't make them

if I make a song I have to feel a mood like sadness or happyness if not the song will be bad

even if I don't like this song because I could make the horns more expressive I'm proud of the result

I began for about 3 month to make music and I never learned to read notes or play an instrument yet

but the programs can let you try things like this and improve your abilities in composing

A very nice 8-bit song. I am sure if this was played at your funeral, everyone would start laughing lol. :D

A nice beat and synth, but some of it was really annoying. Choose a different instrument.. and this would be a really catchy tune. Some of it was played off tune as well.

Because none of it was actually played, i can't really give a decent review on this song.. and nither can anyone else. You gotta make your own material rather than getting bits and pieces from other songs. If you actually made a song like this, people would like you much more.
